Other blankets aren't large enough for the proper swaddle, but these soft flannel blankets will wrap all the way around your baby from birth to 3 months or older. Each blanket comes with illustrated instructions for the tightest, most calm-inducing swaddle. Swaddling helps soothe fussy babies and keeps sleeping babies sleeping longer because it prevents them from flailing their limbs and upsetting or awaking themselves (newborns don't have a lot of muscle control, and they don't mean to make all those wild motions).
